When shall we convene to discuss God and Mother Nature? This was the concern raised at the Seventh Conference on God: The Contemporary Discussion. The fourteen essays, which have been brought together in this volume, were presented at the First Regional God Conference arranged by the New Ecumenical Research Association. The Conference was held in Nairobi and the Mara Serena Lodge at the Mara National Reserve, Kenya, in May of 1991. The timeless Mara (spotted), as it is called, is one of the largest animal sanctuaries in the world. Here a group of scholars and religious practitioners came to refelct on God, Humanity and Mother Nature. The essays have been arranged in three groups, reflecting the perspectives adopted by the authors.
