Pietro Marchitelli was born in Italy but now lives in the United States. He has been a foreign language teacher for several years; he currently holds Master’s Degrees in Spanish language and culture, and in religious education.

Pietro went through religious and personal experiences in life that helped him to appreciate the richness that every race and religion offers to humanity. Like many peaceful people, Pietro dreams that one day we will live in a world free of violence, a world of love and unselfishness. He shares the view that world peace can come only if individuals resolve the turmoil within themselves and become vessels of goodness. After all, the world is the reflection of our collective state of mind.

Jesus the Second Adam: A Novel about Jesus and Mary Magdalene
Jesus the Second Adam is narrated by the aging Mary Magdalene from the top of the Island of Patmos, four decades after Jesus’ crucifixion. Mary reveals secrets of Jesus’ life, including highlights of their strained relationship. She retells many episodes from the Gospels—Jesus’ conception, Joseph’s willingness to take Mary as his wife despite her pregnancy, the conflict between Jesus and John the Baptist, Christ’s realization of his destiny—in ways not previously heard.
