Paragon House Style Guide (MS Word Document) Manuscript/Prospectus Guidelines
Paragon House publishes reference and scholarly titles, in the
areas of Biography, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Religion,
Spiritual Health, Reference, Political Science, Economics, and International
Relations.
Please include the following items to help us make a prompt
decision on your project:
- An abstract of your project, which must include a summary of your premise,
main arguments, and conclusions.
- A table of contents.
- A sample chapter.
- Your current curriculum vitae.
- An estimated number of diagrams, figures, pictures or drawings.
- An estimated number of double-spaced manuscript pages, in your completed
project, along with the computer format (for example: PC compatible in Word
Perfect).
- A tentative schedule for completion of your project.
- Copies of any endorsements or reviews you have received, particularly by
recognized authorities.
- A list of competing books, if any, and a brief note telling how your book
compares to each. Please include publisher, date of publication, page count
and price, if possible.
- A stamped, self-addressed return envelope for our response to you. If you wish to have your manuscript returned to you in case of rejection, include a stamped self-addressed envelope of adequate size and with enough postage to return your manuscript. Materials submitted without adequate return postage will not be returned.
